According to the statistics of the Machinery Industry Information Center of the China Machinery Industry Federation, the added value of China's machinery industry increased by 10% year on year in 2014 when the external environment was still complex.

The construction machinery industry continued to experience a downturn in 2014. The main construction machinery products have decreased to varying degrees compared to the same period last year, with excavators and loaders decreasing by 13.82% and 13.28% respectively. Only compaction machinery increased by 13.92% compared to the same period last year. Heavy mining machinery products have increased and decreased. The heavy mining machinery products listed in the monthly report showed an increase compared to the previous year, including mining specialized equipment, cranes, and conveying machinery, with conveying machinery showing a more prominent growth, with a year-on-year increase of 13.87%. The metal smelting equipment and metal rolling equipment decreased by 3.49% and 11.96% respectively compared to the same period last year.
